♡ MY WEEK IN TV SHOWS ♡

Tuesday 12 January 2016

There's plenty of things I do in my free time, but binge watching TV shows on Netflix is probably top of the list. Now that I've become a working gal this year, by the time I get home from work and the gym I just want to head to bed with a cup of tea and my laptop. Incase y'all don't have a Netflix subscription - I stream some of my shows on cokeandpopcorn or WatchSeries. So here's a list of what I watch on a weekly basis (as well as some I need to catch up with) - and obviously I recommend them all!

Monday

Game Of Thrones

I probably don't have to tell you much about this show, because most likely you're already watching it. For those of you living under (Casterly) Rock, it revolves around a bunch of families and kingdom's all trying to take over the Iron Throne with some dragons, nudity and Skins actors thrown in there.

Tuesday

Gotham

The new season premieres tonight so yay! If you're a Batman fan, then you already know what it's about, but you definitely don't need to have watched the movies to enjoy this show (but it's a bonus). The show follows a young Detective Jim Gordon (played by Ben Mckenzie from The O.C) where in each episode some weird shit goes down with weird criminals, all while Batman characters are being introduced to the show - The Joker. Catwoman, Poison Ivy etc! Season 1 can be a bit slow, but Season 2 makes it completely worth the wait!

Wednesday

Scream Queens

This show is so wtf I don't even know why I watch it, but it's pretty entertaining and I love Emma Roberts wardrobe.

New Girl

The episodes are only 20 minutes long so you can fit one in whenever really. I also feel like I relate to Jess on a lot of levels.

Thursday

American Horror Story

The best thing about this series is that every season has a different storyline with different characters (mainly the same actors) so you don't necessarily have to watch them in order. The current season stars Lady Gaga and she is doing a mighty fine job as The Countess. The downside is the show only runs October - January so you're pretty much stuck waiting a whole year for the next season.

Friday

Vampire Diaries

I watched this show when it first came out back in 2009 maybe? Then I kind of gave up on listening to Elena wining about her hard life having 2 hot brothers want you, but then I binge watched 3 seasons of it in summer and it got goooood.

Weekends - not religiously, I have a life.

The Originals

Spin-off show from The Vampire Diaries with hot vampires, werewolves, hybrids, witches the lot. I might actually love this show more than TVD just because Klaus is that "villain" you grow to love and after 2 seasons it's already made me angry, cry and laugh at their witty sarcasm.

Jessica Jones

You might have seen this advertised on Netflix. Krysten Ritter plays marvel anti-hero Jessica Jones who is trying to escape Killgrave (David Tennant) from his mind control. She's pretty bad ass and it's a pretty bad ass show.

Orange Is The New Black

Based off true events, this series follows the story of Piper Chapman and explores a group of inmates in a women's prison, you may also know it as the show with Ruby Rose in it that everyone was drooling over last year.

Bates Motel

Explores how Norman Bates (Psycho) went from a seemingly sweet innocent teenage boy to a psychopath, his mother comes up with some pretty funny one liners too.

Girls

Never has there been a truer representation of a group of female friends. As much as I loved 90210, Gossip Girl etc. this show is so real you'll see a bit of yourself in each character.

Masters of Sex

Also based on a true story abouthe pioneers of the science of human sexuality whose research touched off the sexual revolution. It's pretty interesting and you learn a thing or two.

Pretty Little Liars

After 5 years of this i'm pretty sure most of you have picked up on what this show is about. 4 girls being tormented by anonymous texts from "A" and trying to kill them, I don't know why I haven't given up on this show yet.

Do you guys currently watch any of these? If you have others i'd love to hear your recommendations!
