Hi guys! Hope you're all enjoying this glorious sunshine (depending where you are, if not take this sarcastically). It's been ages since I treated myself to some pampering or got my nails done, so when I was invited to come down to Montanna's Nail's & Beauty Salon yesterday I was looking forward to getting myself looking glam again - especially with a wedding coming up this weekend!

To tell you a bit about the salon, owner Montanna has been in the industry for 13 years, so you can say she knows a thing or two about making you look fabulous, she also picked up the Nail Technician of the Year Award at the BeautyCity Hair, Beauty & Fashion Awards in 2015. The salon has been open for just under a year and is already one of the most successful and busiest in Gibraltar. Along with Kirsty, they both specialise in nails, beauty treatments such as waxing and eyelash extensions & offer a sun bed and spray tan services.

Yesterday I was treated to a shellac manicure and for the first time I had no clue whatsoever as to what I wanted done seeing as I'm pretty indecisive when it comes to summer nails (I love all things pastel) and I didn't want to play it safe with nude nails for the baby blue dress I'm wearing on Saturday. Montanna shared her expertise with me and recommended I go with a "Cinderella blue" - as I like to call it as I can't recall the shade, but it was a light blue topped with some blue glitter to match. I'm not much of a fan of nail art or sparkly things and I usually like to stick to one block colour but this looks absolutely gorgeous, I can't stop shining them under the light. I've previously had acrylic nails done by Montanna and Kirsty and they were both extremely professional and I had no problems with them, they also lasted me ages and having them removed was pain free and easy. They provide an extensive range of colours to choose from and at an affordable price! When it comes to nails I think you definitely need to do your research and not just go to some £5 store round the corner as they can be extremely damaging.

The decor in the salon is great - complete with green and silver thrones to make you feel like the queen you are whilst you're getting your pedicure done. The staff is very friendly and it doesn't feel like a visit to the hairdressers where you just want to sit in silence and get your hair cut, instead we spent 30 minutes talking about The Vampire Diaries and having a laugh. If you'd like to get yourself tanned, hair free and get a pair of claws to rival Kylie Jenner's (and some great old jams), then head to the ground floor at ICC Unit G4C - straight ahead from BHS. If you'd like to see more of their work I'd also recommended adding them on snapchat at montannasnails for exclusive offers and discounts.
