PRODUCT REVIEW | SECRET SCENT SUBSCRIPTION BOX

Monday 15 August 2016

Subscription boxes have taken over our mailboxes this year, with everything from razors, sweets and flower bouquets all being delivered to you monthly there's no need for any of us to ever leave our houses. Recently I was contacted by Secret Scent Box to share my thoughts on their brand new monthly subscription box service. My initial thought was, great I don't have to clog up my nostrils smelling 20 different scents at Seruya and instead get sent three mini designer perfumes to try out per month so that you can a. change your scent up often and b. figure out what smells you like best before splurging on a 100ml bottle.

About Secret Scent Box

As mentioned above, the process is simple. You simply sign up on their website and for £15 a month get a new set of 3 designer or brand perfumes sent through your letter box. They come in little handy sprays and each perfume comes with a card telling you all about the scent and what notes you can find inside it. In this months subscription I got Armani Diamonds, Vera Wang Princess and Jimmy Choo Illicit Flower. I hadn't tried any of these before but I've seen Vera Wang on every magazine for as long as I can remember. You can also opt between a male scent box or female scent box which makes it a perfect gift for anyone! We all know buying cologne for men is hard when they're probably stuck to using Gillette aftershave for years.

My Thoughts

I'd say Jimmy Choo was the one i'd most likely go for as I love my rosey and florally perfumes. If I was going for bottle presentation alone then obviously Vera Wang Princess would have been the first choice. As for the service itself, the product arrived on time and because it's small enough to fit through your letter box you don't have to worry about someone being home or not to collect the package. The sprays are quite small, so you can't go bananas with each one every day, but they're the perfect sizes to bring along in your hand luggage when travelling. At £15 they're pretty much what you find with most subscription boxes and if you have the money to spend, I'd go for it. If you like to stick to one designer/collection then maybe this isn't the product for you. #MarcJacobs4Life
