PRODUCT REVIEW | ALASSALA ORGANIC OIL EYE SERUM*

Sunday 5 March 2017

Hey guys, today I want to tell you about a new product I've been using that I was sent for review by the lovely people over at Naturelle Cosmetics. I know what you're thinking, why am I using an anti-ageing eye serum at 22? Well because it's all about prevention! At least I hope by the time I'm 40 after using all the stuff my skin still looks youthful and glowing. Keep reading to find out more about the Alassala Organic Eye Serum and what my thoughts were on the product.

ABOUT THE PRODUCT

This product is designed for sensitive eyes and to help slow down the signs of ageing. It is made up of three essential oils including argon oil, rose oil and prickly pear oil (I didn't even know this was a thing?). It is 100% organic and contains no animal-derived fat or synthetic ingredients - so perfect for all you vegans! (Meg). It is designed to leave eyes feeling smooth and should be massaged under and around the eyes.

MY THOUGHTS

My first attempt at trying this I pumped out way too much oil and ended up with the product everywhere. My eyelashes are also pretty long so the oil sometimes catches on to them and blurs my vision. I fixed this by applying less oil to under the eyes and then massaging it on the sides and on my eyelids. I have found that my eyes tend to 'pop' more, and as I mentioned in the intro I'm not currently ridden with wrinkles, but it's always good to start taking care of your skin at a young age. As for the smell, the rose oil is prominent which I am a fan of, at first instance I thought I could smell a hint of chorizo, but alas that wasn't in the ingredients list.

GET SOME

If you'd like to try the oil or have a browse through the other face and body products they offer, click here. The organic oil serum will cost you £16 and I'd say lasts around 2-3 months if you use it sparingly.
