SUMMER EDITION | MY WARDROBE ESSENTIALS WITH MARBLE ARC

Monday 25 July 2016

Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of posts lately - I've been away for 3 weeks in Gibraltar and have been busy working on my tan and catching up with the fam! (and friends, yes I knew that was going to rhyme) Whilst I was over here I met up with Marble Arc to talk about a collab for my blog, I've always loved buying summer pieces from their store and it is one of the best places in Gibraltar for finding everything you need for a summer getaway! Here I've featured some of my favourite pieces as well as what I generally enjoy taking along with me on beachy holidays.

I'm pretty basic when it comes to my bottom attire - midi skirts, maxi skirts and the occasional pair of culottes. I usually stick to 1 or 2 of each in a colour that will go with pretty much anything and then just team them up with a crop top - if you know me you know my wardrobe is made up of 80% of these, one day I'll grow out of this I swear. Here is one of my current favourites from Marble Arc from the brand Glamorous. I love the embroidery on it and it gives a twist on your usual little black crop. This looks great with flowy maxi skirts!

Another look that I think is great for a walk along the promenade and tapas is a colourful co-ord! It's not usually the outfit I'd pair together but it makes for a change in my wardrobe. I'd probably wear this again but with a block coloured top or bottom to not overpower the pattern, not to mention this colour looks fabulous with a tan. If you'd prefer something shorter they stock lots of pretty jumpsuits and short co-ords too - sadly I'm packing too much junk in the trunk and thighs to slaaaay in those.

I'm all about looking like a milkmaid/peasant/Esmerelda this summer - and this black embroidered top is currently one of my favourites and makes a different from all the variations of white off the shoulder frill tops I've bought lately. These tops are perfect for (Coachella) festivals and for a romantic dinner with your S/O,  I should have left my dutch plaits on for this look.

Finally, what's a summer getaway without being sat poolside for most of it? I mainly stick to your standard two piece bikinis when at home or on holiday, simply because I start off pale as milk and could do without the tan lines in weird places. Now that I've got a bit of colour I can take a few more risks with my choice of swimwear. The black South Beach piece from Marble Arc pictured above would have been the PERFECT choice for when I was in Ibiza back in May - it covers enough that you're not left feeling like you're showing too much skin but the detailing makes it glam enough for you to shine at Ocean Club next to the Made in Chelsea lot.

G's Packing Checklist: Along with all these unique pieces, I always bring along a pair of sunnies (usually my cheap ones because I end up sitting on them or losing them when diving into the pool), some sliders, flip-flops, chunky heels and my golden sandals! Not forgetting a cover-up and a towel. I love this beach towel my mum purchased for me in Tarifa - it's a towel on one side and a body wrap on the other with the most beautiful and colourful design. It also doubles as a picnic blanket and takes up a lot less room in your suitcase!

Hope you guys have enjoyed this post and thank you to Marble Arc for the great clothes! You can check them out online here or get yourself down to 10 Main Street Gibraltar.
