Considering my blog name, it makes sense that I occasionally feature some great tea companies I stumble upon. I heard about bluebird tea co a couple of months back and was amazed by the interesting range of teas they offer, and we're not just talking your usual chai and peppermint tea! They kindly sent me their brand new christmas range to try and tell you guys about! Here's what I made of their collection.
ABOUT BLUEBIRD TEA CO
Bluebird Tea Co. is a unique tea mixology company founded by Krisi and Mike in 2013. They currently have a store in Brighton and offer their great mix of teas and gifts to purchase online. They offer everything from matcha teas, to rhubarb and custard to mulled wine kits - perfect for the season. So much detailing goes into their products from the creation of the teabags right through to the packaging. If you're planning a visit to Brighton I definitely recommend visiting their flagship store too.
MY THOUGHTS
So I was given four different types of tea to try, and they all came with their own cute packaging! Let me break them down for you:
Christmas Cake Tea - I think this one has been my favourite out of the bunch! It came in an adorable bauble which would make a perfect gift for tea lovers. It smells exactly like christmas cake, and I find myself smelling the teabags for a bit too long. I tried this both with and without milk and prefer it without the latter, it means you can properly taste all the flavours! I'm also drinking one as I write.
Snowball - Again, this smells delicious. I'm not really a fan of dark chocolate on its own, but this tea blend is very drinkable and I prefer to add milk to it. How adorable is it that each teabag comes with little marshmallows inside?
Gingerbread Chai - I had to go out and buy a tea strainer for this since my cute strawberry one was left in London, but if you're the lazier type you can also get this tea in teabags. This is a rooibos tea blend and is actually award winning. The best part about this tea is that it tastes exactly as it smells, fabulous and spicy. I tried it with milk (and a tad of sugar) and it makes the perfect dessert tea.
Mulled Cider Cocktail Kit - I've only been into cider for like the last few months, I had a very bad experience with it on National Day when I was 16 and never liked it since. So I'm glad I could actually enjoy this now! I've never tried mulled cider before, so I couldn't tell you if my home making skills live up to the real thing, but it was pretty easy to brew and came with clear instructions. I'm actually thinking of buying one of these for my step-dad too and trying the mulled wine one for myself!
GET SOME
If you'd like to try some for yourself, head to their website here - tea packs start at around £3.00 (cheaper than your caramel macchiato!) and they have some great gift selections too.
Have you tried any of these tea blends? If so I'd love to know your favourites!
