This is my first blog post as a 23 year old, which also reminds me I need to change the age on my bio and social media channels. I'm currently lying in bed with the worst migraine (possibly still a hangover from Friday), but wanted to get this post up and posted. Last year I wrote a blog post all about 22 things I've learnt about life so far. So here we are again with all the new found knowledge I've had in 365 days since then.

turning 23

1. It's ok to eat 3 pieces of cheesy garlic bread on your birthday.

2. Not every day/period of your life has to be exciting.

3. Holding grudges is exhausting, let it go.

4. The worst day of your life is only 24 hours.

5. It's ok to say no to plans if you don't really want to go (just not last minute because that makes you a dick).

6. Don't push your friends aside when you get a S/O, you might need a shoulder to cry on later.

7. It's ok to message first if you fancy talking to someone.

8. Unless they're fuck boys, then delete their number asap.

9. Compliment your friends more.

10. And strangers too (instead of tearing each other down)

11. Read more, like an actual book.

12. If you interact with someone on social media, say hi to them in person!!

13. Wear that outfit that makes you feel fab, even if you think people will bitch about you  on their Whatsapp groups cause you look like a flamingo.

14. Go on as many dates with as many people as you fancy, as long as they're not best mates.

15. Drink your 8 glasses of water, do your squats and eat your broccoli, and pineapple belongs on pizza.

16. Take one trip in your lifetime alone, it's quite liberating.

17. You're never too old to party.

18. Don't miss an opportunity to tell your friends/family you love them and appreciate them.

19. Don't leave things up to 'fate' or 'it it's meant to be', either do something about it or it doesn't actually mean that much to you.

20. It's ok to ask for help if you need it, we don't have to be strong 100% of the time.

21. Don't belittle people if they don't know something, teach them.

22. Put a bit of money in your savings account each day, so you can always afford spontaneous trips, and not spend it buying followers on Instagram.

23. If something is making you happy and isn't harming anyone else, then everyone else's opinion means NADA.

That's all for this year! See you all on August 26th 2018 for some more sound knowledge from yours truly. x

  1. There's no limit on the amount of garlic bread you can eat and I'm sure the other Archie's girls would agree! I am also the queen of cancelling plans; I don't get many days off and sometimes just like a day to myself at home, rather than out and about! I love complimenting people; I'm always saying to customers at work how much I like an item of clothing they're wearing or their make-up! And happy birthday!

  2. Garlic Bread should never be counted! It is amazing! Also, Pineapple on a pizza is against the law...just shouldn't happen!

Loved this post and Happy Birthday :)

  3. Girl you are FLAWLESS and SLAYING in that first photo! My first thought was "yasss you go queen!" Hehe! I couldn't agree more with your life lessons, especially on the garlic bread - one slice is never enough! I definitely find solo trips liberating too, I recently did my first solo holiday and I couldn't have had a nicer time! Fab post, loved it!
