COUNTRY LIST | WHERE I'VE BEEN, WHERE I'M GOING AND WHERE I WANT TO GO.

Wednesday 31 January 2018

Hola amigos! As I sit here on this windy and rainy Tuesday, I am day dreaming about sipping on a strawberry mojito in Bali but alas I might have to wait a few months (or years) for that to happen. For anyone who knows me, or if you don't, I love making lists (and travelling). I even have a 'travel listography' that asks you everything from oceans you've swam in to the most memorable people you've met on your travels. Like a lot of people, I have this desire to travel but forget that I hopefully have another 60 years on earth to do so and don't have to rush to see the world now. However, we all know life can throw a lot of surprises your way that may get in the way of that, so I have embarked on a challenge to visit 30 countries before my 30th birthday.

20 READERS SHARE WHAT MAKES GIBRALTAR 'HOME' FOR THEM.

Tuesday 23 January 2018

A few weeks ago one of my friends challenged me to name 10 great things about living in Gibraltar  (here are 25) besides the weather. This question came about because before going to university, I, along with a lot of my generation dreamed about escaping further afield and broadening my horizons. As my last few months of uni grew closer, I was anxious about moving back to Gibraltar and going back to living in a 'bubble' and losing a bit of my independence by going back to living at home. To my surprise, it hasn't actually been that bad. I think I've pretty much partied enough at uni to make up for the rest of my 20s and I quite enjoy the constant supply of vitamin D, even in January. So I reached out to you guys to tell me what makes Gibraltar home for you, and here is what you came up with.

15 PEOPLE SHARE THEIR FAVOURITE VEGAN RECIPES FOR #VEGANUARY

Sunday 21 January 2018

So, today marks 3 weeks of 'being' vegan. I put that in inverted commas because I am doing this as part of veganuary and I am still unsure if I will be able to commit 100% to this lifestyle once February rolls around. I've been enjoying the food I've been eating, but have also found that I've had less energy - but more on that on my Veganuary round up. Today we're here to talk about food because ya girl needs some more variation, although I am a creature of habit so if I like a meal I could probably eat it for days straight. If any of you are participating in this, looking to eat a bit less meat or just want to try out new vegan recipes, here are some readers' favourites!

10 WAYS TO BOOST YOUR DOMAIN AUTHORITY, GOOGLE RANKINGS & IMRPOVE SEO ON YOUR WEBSITE.

Thursday 18 January 2018

Incase you've stumbled here out of interest, we should probably discuss quickly what exactly is SEO and Domain Authority. 'Search Engine Optimisation' is about ensuring your web page ranks high in the search engines when someone is googling a particular topic. Whereas your DA is a number from 1-100 that shows you how well your website ranks on search engines, this metric was developed by moz and you can find yours here. Don't be discouraged if yours seems low, on average most bloggers vary from 10-40, whereas pages like twitter and facebook are basically at 100. Whilst improving your DA might take some ground work (getting links back to your website) there are some things you can incorporate into your website to help boost it up in the next few months.

TAKING CARE OF YOURSELF AT UNIVERSITY & KEEPING A POSITIVE STATE OF MIND.

Wednesday 17 January 2018

Every university student can probably refer you to a time where they've been sat crying in bed with 10 sheets of paper in front of them and two cups of coffee. University might be the best years of your life, but that's not to say it doesn't come with its hardships and blood, sweat and tears (slight exaggeration). It's so easy to get caught under the workload and feel like you physically and mentally can't cope anymore and with it being Mental Health Day last week, I wanted to make this post to highlight how your state of mind is just as important as your physical wellbeing. Having dealt with depression in the past, I know the worst thing you can do is not tell anyone what's going on and just try to keep going on with your day to day life even though its killing you inside, or locking yourself up in your room and staying in bed all day. I know this post won't solve every problem, but I hope it can give you a little pick me up when you need it!

WHAT I CURRENTLY TAKE AT THE GYM TO FUEL MY WORKOUT.

Thursday 11 January 2018

One of my blog goals for 2018 was to start incorporating more health and fitness posts into my page as it's something that I've become quite passionate about over the last few months. I'm not going to start filming fitness workouts because frankly nobody wants to see how much I sweat at the gym. I will however be sharing with you some insights to do with the fitness world. When I first got back into the gym I bought a bunch of stuff before even doing my research on what they actually do, so my l-carnitine is still sitting in my cupboard untouched. When I finally did my research I thought the following was all I really needed for my own fitness and health goals.

CITY GUIDE | HOW TO SPEND 3 DAYS IN BARCELONA, SPAIN.

Monday 8 January 2018

So this year I brought in 2018 standing in the port of Barcelona shoving 12 grapes in my mouth as the clock struck 12. This is hopefully the first of many as my goal is to try and spend NYE in a different city every year, as long as my wallet permits. I spent 4 days in Barcelona and only used public transportation once (from the airport) so let's just say our legs got a good workout. Here is my itinerary on things to do in Barcelona, where to stay and most importantly, where to find the best tapas in Barcelona!

GOALS & BUCKET LIST FOR 2018.

Thursday 4 January 2018

On my last post, I focused mainly on things we could all do in 2018 to better ourselves and the world we live in, but now it's time to focus on my own personal goals for the year. Mainly because by posting this I can be held accountable at the end of the year as I will have this in writing to look back on. This is probably going to be a list I keep adding to throughout the year as things motivate me and change, and hopefully by 31st December I can manage to strike everything out. Some of these are to be taken more serious than others.

NEW YEARS RESOLUTIONS WE CAN ALL MAKE IN 2018 (AND ACTUALLY KEEP).

Tuesday 2 January 2018

Welcome to the first blog post of 2018! Usually this post, along with a couple of more round ups would have been published last week, but if you follow me on social media you might have seen I spent the last few days of 2017 in Barcelona. The beginning of the year is all about new beginnings right? I'm not going to preach about 'new year, new you' because honestly unless you're a piece of s*** then you shouldn't really have to change everything about you when a new year comes along, but there are some small changes we can all make to be the best versions of ourselves in general.  After reading my 2017 resolutions I pretty much stuck to 80% of them, here are some 2018 resolutions we can all try and stick to in 2018.
