KERALA HOTEL GUIDE | ACCOMMODATION FOR EVERY TYPE OF TRAVELLER.

Thursday 27 April 2017

I love hotels, but ever since I've been travelling alone (and by that I mean without my family) I've had to say goodbye to luxury and turn the price settings on booking.com from lowest-highest. To my delight, whilst on the Kerala Blog Express trip I had the luxury of staying in 5 stars, house stays, houseboats and under the stars! By the end of the trip I became an expert on living out of a suitcase and felt like I was a rockstar on the road, whilst of course losing my pyjamas, mascara and toothbrush on the way - thank god for hotel toiletries! Here's a list of some of my favourites, and there is truly something for every type of traveller.

CITY GUIDE | HOW I SPENT 3 DAYS IN BERLIN, GERMANY.

Tuesday 25 April 2017

It's been two weeks now since I was in the historical capital of Germany, Berlin. After spending 3 days in Amsterdam we made our way to Berlin with Easyjet, the flight was just over an hour and was very smooth and quick and I legit shut my eyes for 10 seconds and we were there. I always use Skyscanner for my flights because it shows you the cheapest and most convenient flights. We flew into Schönefeld airport and then got a quick half hour train into Alexanderplatz, which was right in the centre of Berlin. If you're planning a visit to Berlin and looking for some tips on what to do, where to stay and eat, then keep reading.

GETTING THROUGH YOUR DISSERTATION, IT'S NOT AS SCARY AS IT SEEMS.

Sunday 23 April 2017

Today I was struggling to think of what to talk to you guys about, but seeing as I spent an hour and a half trying to format my dissertation and keep everything from moving about on Word, I thought why not talk about what's been taking up most of my time the past couple of months. If you're a final year student you're probably reading this in hopes of finding some motivation for the last push, and if you're still yet to face your dissertation then fear not, it's not as scary as it's made out to be! Here are some of my tips for getting through your dissertation and not losing your mind in the process.

CITY GUIDE | SPENDING 3 DAYS IN AMSTERDAM ON A BUDGET.

Thursday 20 April 2017

If you've been following me on social media, you may have noticed I've been all over the place over the last couple of weeks. I spent two weeks in India which you can read about here, and then popped over to Amsterdam and Berlin before coming home to Gibraltar for Easter. Which means my legs have got one hell of a work out and I now want to stay in bed for the rest of the week! Amsterdam has been on my bucket list for ages, and I have planned to go three times and three times those plans have fallen through. I finally made it there last week and here is what I got up to.

10 THINGS YOU MUST EXPERIENCE IN KERALA, INDIA.

Tuesday 18 April 2017

Kerala is renowned for being 'God's Own Country' and after spending two weeks there with the Kerala Blog Express, it was clear to see why. Over the course of two weeks we travelled from Kochi crossing through a range of towns including Thekkady, Munnar, Wayanad and Kasargod, all the way to Trivandrum where the trip sadly came to an end. In that time we got to climb mountains, visit tea plantations, villages and cruise through the many backwaters Kerala has to offer. If you're planning a trip to Kerala or wondering why it should be on your bucket list, keep reading.

WHY KERALA, INDIA SHOULD BE NEXT ON YOUR TRAVEL BUCKET LIST.

Thursday 6 April 2017

So if you've been keeping up to date with me on social media, you may have seen I've been off having the trip of a lifetime with 29 other bloggers in Kerala, India. This was actually my first time in India (and in Asia) and I didn't think I'd be ticking it off my bucket list so soon. A couple months back I went to see Lion at the cinema and was moved so much by it that my urge to go visit this beautiful country grew, and it seemed luck was on my side when I was chosen to be a part of the Kerala Blog Express Season 4. Admittedly, before entering this contest I didn't know much about Kerala and could not point it out to you on a map, but after spending two weeks travelling from the backwaters in Alappuzha to up in the mountains in Munnar, I felt like this was a place more people should be aware of and have at the top of their travel bucket list. There are lots of kerala tourism packages available to suit all your needs.
