After the success of last year's Valentine's post on what people had learnt from their past relationships, I thought I'd put together another nosey post. This time on what people viewed as relationship 'deal breakers' - in other words, what would you have to do to make this person not or want, to date you (maybe take notes). The general consensus was that people had an issue with people not liking cats/dogs, so I guess there could be worse things to be picky about. I'm actually allergic to cats, but for the right person, I'll take allergy tablets for you.

20 years ago, a guy might have approached you in a bar, cafe, bookshop, on the street and striked up a conversation with you and maybe proposed you go on a date. Nowadays, dating is a lot more different and mating calls take the form of swiping, liking and retweeting. I'm no stranger to 'online dating', when I was 17 I met a guy through twitter who I ended up speaking to for a year and a half and met up a handful of times, but we still keep in contact (I would not have the patience to do this now). Luckily thanks to apps like Tinder, Bumble and Co you can actually find people in your area and then after a cheesy conversation or two you can start your looove journey face to face. I've been on three tinder dates on my life and 2/3 of them weren't a complete disaster and led to short flings until I had to move away, as usual. So is this how we date now?

To quote one of my favourite movies, "relationships are messy and peoples feelings get hurt". That being said we all take something from previous relationships, may it be the realisation that you're not really that into blondes anymore or that dating a boy in a band isn't as fun as you imagined it would be when your place is trashed every week. With Valentine's Day just 48 hours away, I decided to skip the whole 'gifts for your partner' post because what's the post of being sent caviar for two when I don't even have a cat? Let me start by saying this was a hilarious post to write and I'm surprised everyone trusted me with these stories! As always, one of mine is thrown in there somewhere - hint it's number 4. We've all done some pretty weird shit in our youth, funnily enough this post was meant to be weird stories in general but the majority ended up being stalker/ex partner related. Enough blurb - enjoy!
