♡ 10 THINGS THAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE ON NEW YEAR'S EVE ♡
Thursday 31 December 2015
New Years Eve, we have waited 365 days for this important night. A night to let your hair down, forget all the shitty mistakes you made in 2015 and promise yourself how 2016 is going to be sooooo much better. Personally, I've had a great year - I had the most amazing 5 months in America, some time in Bournemouth with my uni friends, summer in Gibraltar and finishing it off working in London! If anything I am kind of sad at how uneventful 2016 is going to be in comparison. Anyway, enough about me, here are 10 things that are bound to happen tomorrow evening.
♡ 10 RESOLUTIONS EVERYONE SHOULD MAKE FOR 2016 ♡
Sunday 27 December 2015
As the end of 2015 quickly approaches, i'm sat here thinking to myself, how many of last years resolutions did I actually keep? I probably weigh the same as last year (or slightly more), I have no new tattoos, and still haven't started that band i've been talking about for the past 2 years. Here are some slightly more achievable ideas for the New Year!
HI GUYS!! Hope you've all had a great Christmas and still manage to fit into your New Years attire! As we round up the year, I decided to look back at all the things I took a liking to this year, and thought it would be something you guys could take part in too! ♡ YOU: IF YOU COULD SPEAK TO YOUR EX AGAIN, WHAT WOULD YOU TELL THEM? ♡
Monday 21 December 2015
Everyone remembers their first love, or their last, but sometimes a lot of things go said unsaid and you never really get any closure. Sometimes just telling someone about it, or writing a letter to them but never posting does the trick, so instead, I asked you guys - if you had the chance to speak to your ex again (or maybe you still do, juicy) what would you tell them? Read 15 people's responses below!
♡ GIANA VISITS: THAI KOSAI MASSAGE THERAPY ♡
Sunday 20 December 2015
Hi Guys, hope you've all had a great weekend! I've been super busy this week and just arrived back in Gibraltar on Friday for my Christmas holiday. This month has been pretty fun but stressful, so I was very excited to receive my first Thai massage at a Central London boutique. Read about my experience below!
♡ DAY 11: CHRISTMAS PLAYLIST ♡
Saturday 19 December 2015
There's only 6 days until Christmas guys!! Where has the month gone?! (and two more days of these christmassy posts, so if you're not a very festive person, it will be over soon I promise!) I felt like my posts were lacking in a few festive jams... so I've made a playlist of my top christmas tracks that you can play straight from this post! Enjoy.

This post will be particularly useful if you have me for Secret Santa and haven't bought my gift yet, otherwise this is me just keeping a handy list of things I want from Santa this year! (Or that I will end up buying for myself when the sales in January start...) Although what tends to happen is my mum ends up sending me most of my presents to my address in UK or I buy them myself and keep them "unused" until the 25th, mainly due to the fact there's a lot more stuff to buy over there than in Gibraltar, but I wouldn't complain if all my gifts were from MAC. Maybe you might find some ideas for yourself too!

DAY 8: BEST AND WORST GIFTS TO BUY FOR SECRET SANTA.
Saturday 12 December 2015
Secret Santa can be a wonderful thing, it means you can just focus all your present buying on one person instead of buying 10 mediocre presents for all your friends (and damaging your bank account). Sometimes it can suck, like when you have to spend £30 on that person you really don't like in your office, in which case pick a present from the bad list! Here are some of my picks!
BLOGMAS 15 | CHRISTMAS GIFTS FOR YOUR WHOLE FAMILY, SORTED! ♡
Tuesday 8 December 2015
If you're reading this, you've probably left your Christmas shopping until the last minute and are possibly looking for some inexpensive gift ideas for your loved ones. These gifts are just general ideas but feel free to mix and match and get them for other people! Or you could always find something unused in your room and give them that instead.
♡ 12 DAYS OF CHRISTMAS WITH G ♡
Tuesday 1 December 2015
So December has officially arrived, it is NOW acceptable to put up your Christmas trees, screw the diet, and play Justin Bieber's "Under The Mistletoe" album. I am also very upset that I forgot to buy my chocolate advent calendar this year, but at least i'll save 50p on it now at Tesco. ANYWAY, to celebrate the season, i'll be doing 12 days of christmas posts from everything to your favourite stories, to the worst gifts you've received, and even some fun drinking games for the holidays! I am aware the "12 Days of Christmas" technically start on the 25th, but this will all be pretty irrelevant then.
For most of these posts, I'm going to need the help of you guys! So check the list below and if you feel like you have anything to share, contact me on any of my social media platforms or email me at gianaspiteri@gmail.com
1. Favourite Christmas Movie
2. Best gift you've ever received
3. Worst gift you've ever received
4. Christmas family traditions
5. Funny/Awkward/Embarrassing/Memorable stories at christmas time!
Your name will be kept anonymous if you wish, just make sure to let me know. I will also be doing a christmas giveaway at the end of it, details to follow at a later date! - yay free stuff for you!! -

I started this blog back in January 2015 when I left for a semester in the States, as a way of keeping my friends and family updated on all my adventures, instead of copy/pasting the same story 10 times. I currently live in Gibraltar, having just completed a degree in Events Management at Bournemouth University.
I do work with brands (and fellow bloggers) and when a product has been gifted to me you will find a (*) next to the product or on the title, all posts will be my honest opinion and I won't published posts that I do not agree with or do not suit my content. ♡ 5 INEXPENSIVE GETAWAYS ABROAD IN EUROPE ♡
Monday 30 November 2015
Everyone seems to have been bit by the travel bug lately, our generation definitely seem to be travelling more and younger than my parents or grandparents did (I guess due to the fact sites such as groupon, skyskanner and airbnb weren't around then). On the other side of the spectrum, there are people wanting to travel but insist they don't have the money for it, when realistically a return trip to Amsterdam can cost you the same as going to see your mate Andy in Newcastle to drown your self in Jäger bombs and kebabs. Check out my inexpensive trip recommendations below!
♡ GIANA'S TOP 10 MOVIE PICKS OF 2015 ♡
Saturday 28 November 2015
2015 has been a pretty good year on the big screen, we saw a lot of books being adapted to movies, even if some of them flopped (yes 50 Shades of Grey), some standard superhero movies and the last instalment of The Hunger Games -sobs-. Here are some of my favourite picks from the year, some of these technically come out in 2014, but if they were released on Netflix this year that counts right?
So, over the years (by that I mean around a year and a half) I have amassed a make up collection that probably outweighs that of most make up artists. Not joking, I have a cart full of it and thats after several clear outs. This collection ranges from the most coveted, expensive brands to the millions of £1 eyeliners that I seem to have in every pencil pot in the house. High-street brands are the most accessible for everybody, so here are my five top picks from this end of the spectrum.

I thought about doing this new "playlist" shiz every Friday to give you guys some new jams to add to your post night out mix. They may not all be your "shot of tequila" but there will be a mix of everything from old school Chris Brown to...anything else. Enjoy!

♡ REVIEW: SKINNY TEATOX ♡
Tuesday 24 November 2015
I've tried my fair share of teatox's in the past two years, and with so many to choose from, it is sometimes hard to find one that works for you and your body! (and doesn't taste revolting) One that I've been meaning to try is the US brand Skinny Teatox, and not just because of its super cute packaging!
15 THINGS YOU EXPERIENCE GROWING UP IN GIBRALTAR
Monday 23 November 2015
A couple of months ago I made a light-hearted post about “15 things only Gibraltarian students experience” which seemed to have gone down well with a lot of you, 10,000 of you to be precise. As December is approaching and I start to crave my grandma’s Potaje and Croquetas, I always find writing these posts fun. So if you’re at uni and feeling a little homesick, or just bored in bed scrolling through Yik Yak, here’s something relatable and (hopefully) entertaining for you to read!
I first heard of Marina and The Diamonds back in 2010 when "I Am Not A Robot" and "Hollywood" were released, and I thought this chick is pretty cool. It wasn't until her song "Primadonna" came out from her second album that I was completely hooked on her music. She carries a different persona in each of her albums, with Electra Heart based around a bubblegum "bitch" who lives in her own world, and her latest album Froot being well, based around fruit. She's always been on my list of people to see live, so it was great to finally see her live in action and she did not disappoint!
♡ 5 LIPSTICK SHADES EVERY PERSON NEEDS ♡
Tuesday 17 November 2015
So thats my lipstick collection you see in that photo. And thats not even all of it. I've been a self confessed lipstick junkie for a while now (My Mac collection outmatches Giana's - just saying...). I've tried almost every shade out there from your classic red lip to the crazy blues and greens that have started to appear. In my opinion everyone should own every single shade they can possibly get their hands on. However I understand most people don't have the compulsion to buy lipstick the way I do.
In light of the events that have taken place recently, it is hard to comprehend how human beings can be capable of such monstrosity. It is also important to remember that there is still good people out there, and one day we will hopefully see a time where we can all co-exist in peace. I decided to write this post to share a bit of positivity not only from my experiences, but from the following contributors too.
It takes two seconds to make someone's day. A smile, "hope you have a good day" or sharing your chocolate (if you're me) can go a long way. I've had a stranger walk me to the train station in Glasgow when I had no idea where I was during my first time in the city, a kind gentleman carry my heavy suitcases down the stairs for me on the busy tube, and a bus driver let me on the bus when it was pouring down and I had no money left on my Oyster Card (shitty system really). Here are some of the stories you shared!

♡ ALBUM REVIEW: JUSTIN BIEBER'S PURPOSE ♡
Friday 13 November 2015
Friday 13th was surprisingly a lucky day for Bieber and 1D fans alike. The release of Justin Bieber's fourth studio album Purpose (with all those compilations and that Journals album that never reaaaally took off despite catchy tracks like Confident and All That Matters) comes after a roller coaster of... a life basically, for 21 year old Biebs. 2016 has been the year of Bieber, he's bloody everywhere, not that I'm complaining. He's also announced that he'll be going on tour with his album in 2016 after being gone from the stage for a while, not to mention his highly anticipated album is already set to be in for a chance at the number 1 spot.
Friday 13th is usually an unlucky date, but for Beliebers and Directioners everywhere it marked the release of both One Direction's Made In The A.M and Justin Bieber's Purpose. Despite all the twitter fandoms war on which is better and who will grab that number 1 spot on the charts, I will be reviewing both these albums separately and not pitting them against each other! (mostly because I probably wouldn't be able to choose anyway. First up, the 1D boys!
♡ TOP 10 LOOKS AT VICTORIA'S SECRET FASHION SHOW ♡
Wednesday 11 November 2015
When it comes to lingerie and fashion shows, no one does it better than Victoria's Secret. Their annual VS Fashion Show is the most prestigious, glamorous and sexy event on the calendar. Not to mention motivates me to hit the gym and cut out junk food for about 24 hours. This year's show saw runway veterans such as Alessandra Ambrosio, Adriana Lima and Candice Swanepoel, with VS Angel Lily Aldridge being chosen to wear the $2 million Fantasy Bra this year. Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner also made their debute on the pink carpet (which they totally rocked). Here are a few of my top picks from the runway!
♡ LIVE: THE NEW BROKEN SCENE ♡
Tuesday 10 November 2015
It was announced about a month ago that Australian band 5 Seconds of Summer would be returning to the United States to do some promo for their new album, Sounds Good Feels Good. It was rather shocking to find out that they would be holding the New Broken Scene event in Atlanta, GA, simply because it wasn't New York or Los Angeles. However, personally it made me very happy as Atlanta is only a four hour drive for me - therefore the possibility of going was much greater. I did my research and determined that an Atlanta radio station would be giving away tickets for the intimate event in several different ways (via Twitter, the radio's website, call-in contests, etc.). The only downside with these types of things is that one needs fifty years of good luck to win. That being said, I did not win any of these contests.

♡ TOP 5 NAILS FOR THE SEASON ♡
Monday 9 November 2015
Ah November, that awkward month where it's not quite yet winter but too cold to be considered autumn (if you're in the UK that is.) You might be wearing gloves out, but that's no reason to not keep your nails looking flyyyyy. Aside from the fact my nails are currently baby blue (kinda Christmasy right?) here are my top picks to take to the nail salon this season!
♡ Album Review: Sounds Good Feels Good ♡
Thursday 5 November 2015
I first heard of this band back in 2012 when a certain member of the band followed me on twitter, and had listed on his bio that well, he was in a band and to check out their covers on YouTube, which I did and they left quite the impression (not just because they were all super cute and Australian).

Wednesday 28 October 2015
Halloween is oh so close, maybe you've spent £30 on a kinky costume from Ann Summers, maybe you've spent months DIYing your own, or maybe you're just planning on staying home eating all the sweets meant for the trick o treaters. If you just fancy staying in with Netflix on (chill or not) then you might find this read quite useful.
♡ 5 Shows To Binge Watch This Month! ♡
Thursday 22 October 2015
My favourite thing about Autumn apart from Halloween and Pumpkin Spiced everything (jk I've never tried this in my life) is definitely that all my TV shows are back on air woo! So if you find yourself scrolling through Netflix for an hour (or watch-series.com for you less privileged fans) for something to watch, why not give one of these a go!
♡ SEPTEMBER UPDATE: GMF, NATIONAL DAY & GIANA GOES TO LONDON! ♡
Monday 28 September 2015
Hey everyone,
So it's been a while since I've written anything to do with me on here, which I guess I should do since It is a personal blog. September has been a pretty hectic month to say the least. Between Gibraltar Music Festival, National Day, job/house hunting, I haven't had much time to watch Teen Wolf on Netflix.

FRESHERS GUIDE | 10 TYPES OF PEOPLE YOU WILL MEET DURING FRESHERS WEEK
Wednesday 16 September 2015
Ah freshers, a time to go crazy, join every society that exists and get a ton of free stuff and pizza deals. Then of course comes all the people you meet along the way that are going to shape the next couple of months (or days) for you. So through my experience, here are some of the people I came across during freshers and who I'm sure you'll all bump in to too!
♡ 20 PEOPLE ON HOW THEY MOVED ON FROM THEIR HEARTBREAK ♡
Saturday 12 September 2015
What exactly is the key to getting over someone? You'd have thought by now that with all the break-ups and make-ups that go on daily someone would have found the cure to the shitty feeling that is heartbreak. We've all had our stay in the heartbreak hotel, may it be for weeks or months we all have our ways of checking out and moving on.
♡ AUGUST FAVOURITES ♡
Friday 11 September 2015
Hi beauties,
August only meant one thing to me, I TURNED 21. Which doesn't exactly mean I'll be acting anymore mature or being easily amused. So of course, I had to include a few of my gifts on here (that I pretty much asked for so they weren't much of a surprise) and I also saw a lot of movies this month seeing as my life isn't very exciting at the moment, including the anticipated Paper Towns.

♡ 5 MINUTES WITH: IAN DAVIES ♡
Tuesday 18 August 2015
It's been a while since I've done one of these little chats, and when I came across Ian Davies music, I knew I had to find out more. His first original song "Leave Me Tonight" pulled at my heartstrings and wow, what a soothing voice. The liverpool singer/songwriter has spent the last year and a half recording his own songs at John Delf's Edge studio, who has worked with the likes of The Script and 5 Seconds of Summer. Keep reading to hear what Ian had to say about his inspirations, the music industry and the story behind the song!
MY LASER EYE SURGERY EXPERIENCE.
Sunday 9 August 2015
So it's pretty much been a week since I experienced the most uncomfortable 10 minutes of my life. Yes that is a slight exaggeration considering I got jaw surgery like 4 years ago. Ever since I was 15 I'd said to my mum about wanting Laser Eye Surgery for my 21st Birthday (or a boob job, but that kinda faded) and I was lucky enough to get it done this month. Anyway, I thought I'd try and write this post for any of you who are interested in getting it done and just answer a few general questions!
*excuse the typos as i'm practically writing this with my eyes half closed*

♡ LIFE OF G ♡
Saturday 1 August 2015
Hey guys,
Just a little update on what's been going on in my life lately, so this will be a very short blog post.
I probably haven't done one of these since I left America, so between then and now i've spent some time back in Bournemouth, and been back home in Gibraltar for about a month and a half now! When i'm going back, who knows. Still in the process of looking for an events placement for this year, if that's going to be in Gibraltar, Spain or UK I don't quite know yet.

FRESHERS GUIDE | 20 TIPS TO GET YOU THROUGH FIRST YEAR
Thursday 30 July 2015
As results day dawns for you a-level students, I thought it would be a good time to post this so you can all chill the f out before you (hopefully) go off to university in September! This one had been requested a couple of times so I hope some of you find it somewhat useful and seriously, you're about to have the most enjoyable 3 or 4 or 5 years of your life.
1. Go to as many events as possible. You might not be a fan of cheesy music, but you might end up meeting some people there who could become your UBFFs forever!!
2. Be open-minded . You will probably hear this a thousand times, but everyone is in the same boat as you! Try and talk to as many people as possible and you might find there's a Facebook page for your university/course too (I actually set up my own freshers page with my friend Phoebe and we had people coming up to us every night, thanking us for making the group and making the experience so much easier and less frightening for them!)
3. You don't need to buy every event ticket online. Reps will pressure you but seriously, unless it's the main freshers event they won't run out and you might end up buying tickets for events that none of your friends are actually going to.
4. You don't HAVE to get a long with all of your flatmates. Luckily my flatmates were pretty awesome and I'm still close with most of them, but sometimes you might find they're all complete dickheads with poor hygiene, in which case, just try and stay civil until you can get the fuck out of there.
5. Join a Society. If you're sporty then you'll enjoy this for the activity obviously, if not, the socials are the wildest.
6. BUDGET!! Unless you're fine with spending 80% of your money on nights out and Domino's and the other 20% eating beans on toast, try and budget your money so you have enough for a social life and to live!
7. (First year doesn't really count). For most courses, your first year grade doesn't actually count for your final grade (this doesn't mean you should fail either) but try and have a social life and make the most of your time and not stuck in your room studying 24/7
8. You will have a housemate that does fuck all. If you don't, it's probably you. No matter how hard you try cleaning rotas will never work, so you'll just have to throw all their dirty plates in a bin bag and leave it outside their door.
9. TRAVEL! Make the most of the fact you can get almost anywhere in train and you can get some pretty cheap flights/trains from London to Amsterdam, Paris etc. You should definitely invest in a 16-25 student railcard to get 1/3 off fares too! Also make sure to check what trips are available through your university, and if they offer any study abroad semesters!
10. Speaking of Discounts...NUS card can also get you some cheaper deals on a lot of restaurants, student beans and UNIIdays can also get you tons of offers on everything!
11. Great time to learn new skills. Now that you're basically all independent and living on your own, it's a great time to learn how to whip up some good food if all you know how to make is pasta and cheese.
12. Be Clean. Don't be that flatmate everyone complains about because they always leave their dishes piled up for 2 weeks or never takes the bins out, basically don't give them anything to complain about! (Unless they are the said unhygienic dickheads, then put tuna in their pillow)
13. Do not sleep with your flatmate. Unless you literally fall in love and think you'd be better than Nick and Jess as a couple, a drunken one night stand with your flatmate will just result in an awkward year for you and everyone else that has to live with you.
14. Don't overbuy. You really don't need more than two plates unless you're going to be throwing dinner parties every other night, especially if it's just going to be thrown away at the end of the year!
15. Wait till all your flatmates have moved in. Before buying a kettle, microwave, toaster unless you want to end up with two George Forman Grills and 3 mops in the kitchen.
16. Asda will be your best friend. Everything here is pretty cheap, and not just for your food, your cutlery, your bed sheets, practically anything and everything you will need you'll find in here! Wilko is also a great shout too if you have one in your town.
17. Alcohol. If you're a Gibraltarian student reading this, BYOB! In your suitcase, a bottle of Smirnoff will cost you £18 in the UK, so your best bet is to bring some duty free alcohol over with you (not encouraging drinking at all)
18. Make some extra cash. You could earn some extra dough by selling tickets for nights out, fatsoma.com is pretty good and you could earn £50 just from people buying their tickets from your links, easiest money ever.
19. You don't have to cram all your uni visits into freshers year. How man times have your friends promised you they'll be coming to visit you for halloween! or your birthday! or that big house party you're having next weekend! Chances are a lot of them won't make it , and maybe you won't want to travel all the way to Newcastle after being in uni for a month, but you still have two more years to do so!
20. HAVE FUN. Going into my third year now, the years have really flown by, and I had the best freshers year I could ask for, then things start to slow down a bit...so make the most of it and make some memories!

♡ 25 PEOPLE ON THEIR ALL TIME FAVOURITE MOVIES ♡
Sunday 28 June 2015
You know the one, that movie you've probably seen one too many times and have forced all your friends to watch because it's so god damn good. So I thought I'd find out what that is for you guys, and to give me some recommendations for my own viewing pleasure. (Warning this blog post may contain movie spoilers)
♡ LIVE: 5 SECONDS OF SUMMER ♡
Sunday 21 June 2015
For being an avid concert goer, I can't believe my first gig of the year took place in June, but I must say these boys NEVER disappoint, and I say this because I have now seen them live 6 times. I never get when people say, "what's the point of seeing them again, don't you get bored?", but then I think to myself, don't you get bored of watching your football team play over and over again? Every experience is different. With every show comes new music, new people which you're probably going to bond with because at least you share the same music taste, and well they're not hard on the eyes either.
So this post is long overdue, but in-between moving around, packing and going back to Gibraltar i've been pretty busy! So 2 weeks ago I went to my university's annual summer ball, and no, it's not one of those lame get dressed to the 9s and having a meal and go home kinda shindigs. We're talking hundreds of students dressed up in everything from bath loofas to boobs (and the occasional slutty nurse), multiple tents playing different acts (which I must admit isn't exactly my style since I'm not really one for house music) and food trucks.
♡ MAY FAVOURITES ♡
Friday 12 June 2015
Hey y'all!
Trying to do these on the 1st of every month isn't quite going to plan, this draft has been here since the 3rd June and here I am posting it on the 12th. Anyway, May has been a pretty relaxed month for me so i've had plenty of time to binge watch shows on Netflix and read the 20 books i've bought and still yet to read.

15 PEOPLE ON THEIR FIRST TINDER MEET UP EXPERIENCE.
Tuesday 19 May 2015
Ah Tinder, if you don't have it, your best friend, your flatmate or that guy sat next to you on the train does. For a lot of people it's a quick fix for a lonely night, but having said that there are quite a few people who have had successful relationships off of it! So I decided to download the app and after a few pretty odd messages, I found a few people who were ready to share their experiences with the dating app! (as well as some of my friends who were willing to spill everything under a fake identity of course)

TEA WITH CERYS KENNEDY - WHAT'S IN A MODEL?
Sunday 10 May 2015
When I thought about expanding my blog and talking to some talented individuals, I knew Cerys was the perfect person to get the ball rolling! She's young, beautiful and hard working. At just only 16, she has been in the professional modelling industry for just over a year, so I decided to find out a bit more about what she does and the work that goes into being a model.
